Sugar Update

Sugar is out of Surgery and from what I have heard it went well. He is at Mercy Hospital, 10th Floor, bed 24 and is accepting visitors.

Thinking of Sugar

On a more serious note, Tim Jackson, a.k.a Sugar, a.k.a. Masiguy was involved in a bike crash at the velodrome last night. I am sure he will cover the specifics on his blog as soon as he is out of the hospital and able to post again. I am sure Iggy ll will post a comment to this blog entry as soon as he reads it. He went to the hospital last night out of concern for Tim and has more of the specifics. All of our prayers are with Tim and his family and wish him a speedy recovery. I cannot stress enough, what a great guy Sugar is. He has been a friend to me in times of need and would give you the shirt off of his back. Please send him your well wishes. We love you Tim.

Some Sweet Words From Sugar

Masi Guy, a.k.a Sugar, a.k.a. Tim Jackson, who has one of the best cycling blogs on the net, said some kind words about Iggy. Please check it out and be sure to bookmark his blog, he has some good stuff to say. His podcasts are awesome and he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Photos From the Omnium

Here are some photos from the Omnium that took place last weekend. Iggy took a couple few primes with the help of Peter Anderson. John Bailey was kind enough to send us these photos.

Iggy at Del Mar

This is a nice photo sent to us by Marcelo Gonzalezsouza. This day, he rode up to Del Mar from the house for a warm up. Lapped the Juniors and won, then he did the Pro 1-2 race and took second. Very nice.

Tuesday Night Track Racing

Here are some photos taken last Tuesday, the first night of track racing at the San Diego Velodrome. The photos were taken by Mark Bermal, who takes excellent photos, even though he is missing a 'T' in his last name. Enjoy.

Iggy and Scott Baker, who took 100 stitches after going down hard in Del Mar. We wish you a speedy recovery, Scott. It looks like one of the Guinness boys are tapping a keg to the right of the photo.

Iggy, keeping his eyes shut for some reason unbeknownst to everyone.

The Kid, doing what he does best.

Ah, this explains the eyes shut thing. Very talented. What a show-off.

Track Season, Baby!!!

That's right, you heard it hear first. The San Diego Velodrome Tuesday night races start tonight. The kid has gotten faster each year and I cannot wait to see him ride tonight. I think he is going to bring the hurt. Please come out and cheer him on. Be sure to bring warm clothing, maybe even a blanket and do not forget your beverage of choice. The first night is always a big event, so be prepared to have fun. I will see you there. Geez, I just noticed that I did not have a link to the Velodrome, after all this time. Silly me.
