I just wanted to share this photo of Iggy being inducted into the San Diego Hall of Champions. Race season is going to start before you know...I am predicting big things.

Univision Story

The Spanish language channel, Univision, did a really cool video on Iggy (Click link on right, Persiguiendo un Sueno), just click on the video to the right of the screen. It is in Spanish, but still worth watching even if you don't speak the language. Great video.

Thanksgiving Message

First, I would like to thank God for everything that he is giving us everyday. Just to wake up the very next day is a gift that I think most of us take for granted. I could go on and on but I won't. I would like to thank everyone who is helping us in acheving Iggy's dream. Like my friend Ted says, who is responsible for not only setting up our blog but also constantly putting up with me, for that matter I would like to thank everyone for putting up with me and my craziness. There are just so many people to thank the list would be huge and if you know me you know it's really hard for me to sit still especially in front of a computer. I'm already going crazy , my butt hurts from sitting, and I'm getting really antsy. So we at Iggy racing would just like to wish everyone to "GET IGGY WITH IT"! and have a fantastic THANKSGIVING.

Fixed Gear Fever Interview!!!

If you all haven't seen it, please go read Iggy's Interview at Fixed Gear Fever. We would like to thank Scott and FGF for giving the kid the exposure! I especially like the part about Iggy II. Loud? Noooooooo!

Iggy and Dana's Crosstraining

I just got off of the phone with Iggy II and he told me that Iggy and Dana are planning on going rock climbing tomorrow. Kids crack me up. As you probably know, we are having the biggest wildfires in California history right now and I am pretty sure that most places for natural rock climbing are not too safe. I asked Iggy II what they planned on wearing and I was able to snap this photo of one of them in their rock climbing gear. I am in no way making light of the fires, just that the kids are going on with life, business as usual.

On a more serious note, my parents lost their home in the Cedar Fire, as did Eddie B. My parents house was one of the first to burn in the Cedar Fire, since their home borders the Cleveland National Forest. It is real touch and go, as I type this, at my parents house which they rebuilt after the Cedar Fire. Cost makes it near impossible for many people to afford fire insurance in many of these areas, if is available at all. If my parents lose this house, they do not have the money to rebuild. Our prayers are with not only my family and Eddie B., but everyone who is being impacted by this fire.

Madison at the San Diego Velodrome

Unfortunately I had to work all last weekend and was unable to attend the 2 day Madison, which Iggy and Dana Alia won. Here is an excellent write up on the 2 day event at fixedgearfever.com.

Race Season is Winding Down...

Race season has really slowed down, as usual, the past month. Track Nat's were in Carson last week and there was a fun time had by all. Davis Phinney was kind enough to send us a photo of his son, Taylor, with Iggy taken at ADT. B-Iggy said that Davis was a very nice person and was happy to have met him.

This Friday evening and Saturday day, there is the last racing of the year at the San Diego Velodrome. I am pretty sure they are having a two day Madison. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by and check out the action. Some fast guys will be competing and the Madison is some good stuff. Rumor has it that Iggy will be returning to Europe in the near future which is more good news. I will fill you all in as I get the specifics.
